TRAIL OF TEARS | 2009

"The year was 1830 when the bill was passed for the removal of all Native Americans of their homelands east of the Mississippi River that led them to their final massacre at Wounded Knee that began with the infamous Trail of Tears. As the people watched the tribe walk they cried many tears and where their tear fell, a white rose bush would grow and, to this day, they grow east to Oklahoma. This is our Nation's flower of honor, the Cherokee Rose." - Windwalker
